This policy explains what personal information Jac’s Cekola’s Pizza collects through https://jacscekolaspizza.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how long we keep it.

2. Information you give us

When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you type into it. On our contact forms that is your name, your email address and the message you write. We collect this only because you chose to send it to us. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not buy contact information from anyone else.

3. Information collected automatically

This site may use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and which sites they arrived from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, your approximate location (usually city level), your browser and device type, and the pages you view. We also record when a contact form is successfully submitted, as a count. That record contains no name, email address or message text — only the fact that a submission happened, so we can tell which pages bring us enquiries.

Google’s own handling of this data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your visit entirely by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

This site also sets two cookies of its own on every visit. A session cookie lets the site tell one visit apart from the next while you move between pages. A security cookie lets the contact form check that a submission really came from this site and not from somewhere else. Both are set by the software the site runs on, contain no personal information, are not shared with anyone, and expire a couple of hours after your last page view.

Our web host also keeps standard server access logs, which include IP addresses and requested pages. These are ordinary hosting records used for security and troubleshooting.

4. Links to other services

Our “Order Online” buttons take you to our online ordering providers (Foodtown/Olo for Kalamazoo, Toast for Portage), our map links open Google Maps, our drink menu link opens BeerMenus.com, and our social buttons open Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies; nothing you do on them is collected by this website.

5. What we do with it

We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, arrange the event or service you ask about, and keep a record of our correspondence. We use the analytics data to improve the website. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.

6. Who else sees it

A form submission on this site is first checked for spam (see below), then reaches three places:

1. Our own mailbox — the message is emailed to the event coordinator of the location whose page you wrote from (KalamazooEvents@jacscekolaspizza.com or PortageEvents@jacscekolaspizza.com), hosted by our email provider.
2. WebCentersUSA — WebCentersUSA builds and maintains this website, and receives a blind copy of every submission. They keep this copy as an independent record so that a message which fails to arrive in our mailbox can still be recovered and answered. They do not use it for any other purpose and do not share it.
3. This website’s server — each submission is also written to a log file on the server that hosts this site, described in section 7.

Spam checking. Before a submission is delivered, it is checked by CleanTalk, an anti-spam service run by CleanTalk Inc. The check sends CleanTalk the email address, name and IP address of the sender and the text of the message, and CleanTalk answers whether the submission looks like spam. CleanTalk keeps what it receives for a short period under its own privacy policy at cleantalk.org/privacy.

A submission CleanTalk flags as spam is not delivered to our mailbox. A copy marked as caught goes to WebCentersUSA’s archive instead, so a genuine message caught by mistake can still be found and answered. If you sent us something and heard nothing back, email the event coordinator of the location you wrote to (KalamazooEvents@jacscekolaspizza.com or PortageEvents@jacscekolaspizza.com) and we will look for it.

Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

7. How long we keep it

Submission log on the server: 365 days. Entries older than a year are deleted automatically.
Emails in our mailbox, and the WebCentersUSA copy: kept while they are useful for the business relationship, then deleted.
Google Analytics: retained under the retention period set in our Analytics property. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Email info@jacscekolaspizza.com and we will respond. Deleting the submission log entry and the emailed copies removes our record of your enquiry, so we may not be able to continue a conversation already in progress. We will say so if that applies.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies stops Google Analytics from recognising your visit. It also stops the contact form from working, because the form relies on the security cookie described in section 3. Every other page reads normally.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@jacscekolaspizza.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use personal information, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
